Meeting opened by Roy Allen at 10:00 AM

Roll call –Alan Curtis, Roy Allen, Debra Shell

ACTION ITEMS

• A motion was made by Roy Allen and seconded by Alan Curtis to approve the agenda. The motion passed unanimously.

• A motion was made by Debra Shell and seconded by Alan Curtis to approve the minutes of the January 16, 2020 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

• A CUP application has been completed. It was necessary to change the current CUP since the Fire District is a government entity. All residents within 300 feet of the property line will be contacted by the City of Chubbuck and 29 days allowed for a response. The CUP will then go to the Planning and Zoning Department in March for approval.

• A motion was made by Roy Allen and seconded by Debra Shell to accept the CUP application. The motion passed unanimously.

• A motion was made by Alan Curtis and seconded by Debra Shell to accept Roy Allen as the sole signatory on the CUP application.

• A motion was made by Alan Curtis and seconded by Debra Shell to authorize the payment of $386.50 to the City of Chubbuck to cover the CUP filing fee and the cost of the mailings to the residents surrounding the fire station. The motion passed unanimously.

• A motion was made by Alan Curtis and seconded by Roy Allen to approve the previously unapproved expenditures. The motion passed unanimously. The new treasurer, Alan Curtis, had found in his preparation for the audit that there were 23 debit card charges and invoices that had been paid but had not been formerly approved. This motion is to approve these expenditures. Mechanisms are now in place to prevent this from occurring in the future. A summary of the previously unapproved items is listed below. A detailed copy of the expenditures will be attached to the minutes.

City of Chubbuck - $650.00 – Fire inspection fees (2/27/19)

US Post Office - $1.045.00 – Cost of stamps for mailings to residents (4/16/19)

UPS Store - $3.18 – Color copies for meeting handouts (4/23/19)

UPS Store - $508.80 – Letters to citizens (4 /15/19)

Office Depot - $243.07 – Mailing labels (4/13/19)

Red Lion Pocatello - $93.81 – Meeting room rental (5/7/19)

UPS Store - $26.46 – Copies for meetings (5/02/19)

NEW BUSINESS

• A motion was made by Roy Allen and seconded by Debra Shell to authorize the purchase of a conference table and 6 chairs from the General Services Administration government surplus website for up to $300. The motion passed unanimously.

Roy Allen is to send an email announcement to the residents of the Fire District on the contact list to invite them to the Open House at the Fire Station on January 25, 2020.

• A motion was made by Debra Shell and seconded by Roy Allen to adjourn the meeting at 11:20 AM. The motion passed unanimously.
